Job summary

Lumicera is seeking an Intake Specialist I to enroll new Specialty Pharmacy patients, gather demographics, allergy and payer information, and translate prescription details into our dispensing software. The role involves contacting patients and providers by phone or fax and assisting with prior authorizations as needed.

The specialist will maintain accurate documentation, support pharmacy operations, and work within regulatory guidelines to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• National CPhT certification and/or licensure as per state requirements.
• Minimum two years of pharmacy support or healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Place calls to new and existing Specialty Pharmacy patients.
• Enroll patients into specialty services and manage billing information.
• Answer inbound calls from patients, prescribers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Contact doctors to obtain necessary information.
• Manage workflow queues and accurate documentation of information.
• Assist with triaging prior authorizations and pharmacy technician duties as needed.
• Comply with federal and state laws and high ethical standards.
