Zusammenfassung

Lumicera is adding an Intake Specialist to our team to enroll new Specialty Pharmacy patients, capture demographics, allergies, medication history, comorbidities and payer information, and communicate with doctors and patients by phone or fax. Under supervision from the Assoc.

Manager, Patient Support Services and pharmacists, the Intake Specialist I will translate prescription information into dispensing records and help triage prior authorizations, ensuring accurate data in our pharmacy system

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED.
• Some college preferred.
• National CPhT and/or registration/licensure required per state requirements
• Minimum two years pharmacy support experience or healthcare environment experience preferred
• Ability to work scheduled hours; hours of operation 8am to 7pm Mon-Thu and 8am to 6pm on Friday
• Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
• Ability to interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees

Aufgaben

• Place phone calls to new and existing Specialty Pharmacy patients
• Enroll patients into specialty services (care management, copay assistance, billing)
• Answer inbound calls from patients and prescribers
• Contact doctors to obtain necessary information
• Manage the assigned workflow queues
• Document information and prescription order set up accurately
• Comply with applicable laws and uphold ethical standards
• Other duties as assigned
