Job summary

Lumicera Health Services is expanding its team and seeking an Intake Specialist I to enroll new Specialty Pharmacy patients and capture complete demographic, allergy, medical, and payer data. You will contact patients and doctors to gather information, translate prescriptions for dispensing software, and support prior authorizations within a compliant, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Some college experience preferred.
• National CPhT and/or state licensure as required by residency.
• Minimum two years of pharmacy support or healthcare experience.
• Hours are 6am–7pm CST/CDT; shifts may vary.
• Participate in compliance program objectives.
• Ability to interact cooperatively and respectfully with others.

Responsibilities

• Place phone calls to new and existing Specialty Pharmacy patients.
• Enroll patients into specialty services (care management, copay assistance, billing).
• Answer inbound calls from patients, prescribers and healthcare professionals.
• Contact doctors to obtain necessary information.
• Manage the assigned workflow queues and document information.
• Ensure accurate prescription entry and data translation for dispensing.
• Assist other areas as needed and adhere to laws and ethical standards.
