Job summary

Lumicera Health Services, powered by Navitus, is expanding its team and seeking an Intake Specialist. The role focuses on enrolling new Specialty Pharmacy patients and ensuring complete patient records, including demographics, allergies, medication history, comorbidities, and payer information.

Responsibilities include communicating with patients and providers via calls, fax, or other methods, and assisting with prior authorizations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Some college preferred.
• National CPhT and/or registration/licensure required per employee’s residing state’s requirements.
• Minimum two years pharmacy support experience or healthcare environment experience preferred.
• Hours of operation: 8am to 7pm Monday–Thursday and 8am to 6pm Friday.
• Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives.
• Ability to interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees.

Responsibilities

• Place phone calls to new and existing Specialty Pharmacy patients.
• Enroll patients into specialty services including care management, copay assistance programs, and billing information.
• Answer inbound calls from patients, prescribers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Contact doctors to obtain necessary information.
• Manage the assigned workflow queues.
• Document information and prescription orders accurately in the dispensing software.
• Assist other areas as needed with pharmacy technician duties.
