Job summary

Lumicera is hiring an Intake Specialist I to enroll new Specialty Pharmacy patients and manage patient data accurately in the dispensing system. The role focuses on coordinating with doctors, insurers, and patients to triage information and facilitate prescriptions while supporting various pharmacy-tech duties.

Hours reflect departmental needs (8am–7pm Mon–Thu, 8am–6pm Fri). Two+ years in pharmacy support and a CPhT or state license are preferred for applicants.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years pharmacy support or healthcare experience.
• High school diploma or GED; college coursework preferred.
• National CPhT and/or state licensure as required by residence.
• Hours vary; operation 8am-7pm Mon-Thu and 8am-6pm Fri.
• Compliance with applicable laws and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Place outbound calls to new and existing Specialty Pharmacy patients.
• Enroll patients into specialty services including care management and copay/billing info.
• Answer inbound calls from patients, prescribers, and healthcare professionals.
• Contact doctors to obtain necessary information for prescriptions.
• Manage assigned workflow queues and document order setup accurately.
• Ensure compliance with laws and maintain high ethical standards.
• Support other departments as needed with pharmacy technician duties.
