Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Specialty Account Manager, Referral to represent Rare Disease products to primary care, podiatry, and orthopedics, driving referrals to rheumatology and nephrology. You will manage a defined territory, build strong customer relationships, and collaborate with sales teams to uncover unmet patient needs.

The role requires strong communication, strategic planning, and travel to centers of excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience
• Or Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience
• Or High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience

Responsibilities

• Represent Amgen's Rare Disease products to Primary Care/FP/GP/IM, Podiatry and Orthopedic physicians and healthcare professionals and establish product sales.
• Increase referrals for appropriate patients to Rheumatology and Nephrology specialties and manage territory accounts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify unmet patient needs and drive territory growth.
• Develop territory business plans to achieve/exceed annual sales goals.
• Promote disease state awareness and product value to target customers.
