Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking a remote Loan Servicing Specialist to provide ongoing support for special loan products such as modifications, ARMs, SCRA adjustments, and assumptions. The role encompasses reviewing documentation, maintaining indices, and ensuring regulatory compliance while supporting the Mortgage Lending Division and acquisitions teams.

You will work from home with an hourly wage range of $19 to $23 starting, and you will be part of a team dedicated to accurate

Qualifications

Familiarity with special loan products and related documentation.
Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
1–2 years mortgage servicing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Review service release loans to ensure proper documentation before release.
Maintain ARM contracts, indexes and balloon plans when not available in the system.
Audit pending payment changes for accuracy in system and notifications.
Support Home Retention/Loss Mitigation with modification-related inquiries.
Identify loans eligible for SCRA protection and issue coverage letters accordingly.
Research SCRA benefits compliance and update servicing systems.
Maintain daily ARM index values and populate indices for correct payments.
Coordinate with Mortgage Lending to confirm approval of assumption packages.
Run scripts for modifications finalized by Loss Mitigation and assist corrections.
Update servicing system data fields for compliance and changes to all special loans.
Process partial releases, subordinations, easements, eminent domain requests, and oil/gas leases with approvals.
Draft recast requests and ensure documents are signed and funds wired timely.
Make timely system changes in response to investor/customer/department requests.
Assist acquisitions with validations for newly acquired loans.
Review HAMP modifications for principal reduction and recast eligibility.
