Job summary

Muon Space, Inc. is seeking an experienced control system engineer to design and analyze guidance, navigation, and control architectures for space missions.

The role emphasizes embedded C++ implementation, algorithm definition for ADCS, and GNC performance simulations. You will collaborate on a geolocation processing pipeline and participate in software- and hardware-in-the-loop tests, with access to exciting pipeline development and mission opportunities.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s in mechanical or aerospace engineering (or equivalent) with 2–3 years of professional experience, or several years hands-on GNC analysis & design experience.
• Strong software skills in C++ and numerical environments (Python, Julia, MATLAB).
• Security clearance to access export-controlled information.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement guidance, navigation & control architectures and algorithms in an embedded C++ environment.
• Define requirements for ADCS algorithms, hardware, and related systems for current missions and roadmap development.
• Perform analysis and simulation of mission-specific GNC performance.
• Collaborate on offline geolocation processing pipeline development.
• Support software- and hardware-in-the-loop test planning, execution, and validation.
