Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect to shape the big data and AI landscape by collaborating with data engineering and data science teams. You will guide customers through architectures, validate integrations, and champion best practices using the Databricks platform and APIs.

You will partner with sales to articulate data solutions, build proofs of concept, and contribute to open-source communities. This role requires travel to regional customers and strong cloud experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering, pre-sales, or consulting.
• Experience building distributed data systems.
• Comfortable programming and debugging in Python and SQL.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Expertise in Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
• Knowledge of Data Science and ML tools (pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow).

Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to provide technical leadership.
• Consult on big data architectures and implement proof-of-concepts for strategic projects.
• Collaborate with Solutions Architects to support customers.
• Promote and recruit contributors for Databricks open-source projects (Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow).
