Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect to shape the big data landscape with data engineering and data science teams. You will guide customers through architectures using our platform and APIs, champion open-source projects like Spark and Delta Lake, and collaborate with the sales and customer-facing teams.

You will work remotely with travel to regional customers, bringing expertise in Python/SQL, distributed data systems, and cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure/GCP.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering, data science, or pre-sales/consulting.
• Experience building distributed data systems.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Expertise in data engineering or data science/ML technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka; Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Willingness to travel to customers.
• Quantitative discipline degree preferred.
• Databricks Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to provide technical leadership for Databricks solutions.
• Consult on big data architectures and implement proofs of concepts across data engineering, data science, and ML workflows.
• Validate integrations with cloud services and 3rd party apps.
• Collaborate with Solutions Architects to support customers and promote open-source contributions (Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow).
