Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect on the Digital Natives team to shape the big data landscape by guiding data engineering and data science teams through architectures built on our platform and APIs.

Reporting to the Field Engineering Manager, you will partner with customers, product teams, and the broader customer-facing group to drive technical leadership, implement proofs of concept, and contribute to Databricks open-source projects such as Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering, data science, or pre-sales/consulting.
• Experience building distributed data systems.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Expertise in Spark/Hadoop/Kafka or ML frameworks.
• Willingness to travel to customers.
• Degree in a quantitative discipline.
• Databricks Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership with the sales team to show how Databricks solves business problems.
• Consult on big data architectures and run proofs of concept across data engineering, data science and ML workflows.
• Collaborate with fellow Solutions Architects to support customers and users.
