Qualifications

• 6+ years in customer-facing pre-sales or architecture roles.
• Experience designing distributed data systems.
• Proficient in Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R.
• Experience with public sector clients.
• Built solutions with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Spark, Hadoop, Kafka.
• Data warehousing experience (SQL, OLTP/OLAP).
• Degree in a quantitative discipline preferred.
• US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to help customers understand value of Databricks.
• Provide technical leadership for evaluating and adopting Databricks.
• Consult on big data architectures, PoCs, data science/ML projects, and integrations.
• Build and present reference architectures, how-tos, and demos.
• Promote Databricks open-source projects across communities.
• Travel to customers in your region.
