Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect to shape the future of the big data landscape by collaborating with data engineering and data science teams. You will guide customers through architectures using our platform and APIs, and develop technical champions along the way.

You will partner with sales to lead technical discussions, consult on distributed data systems, and promote Databricks open-source projects across the developer community. Travel to customers is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering, data science, or pre-sales/consulting.
• Experience building distributed data systems.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiar with Spark or Hadoop and ML tools.
• Willing to travel to customers in your region.
• Desired: degree in quantitative field.
• Nice to have: Databricks Certification.

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales to provide technical leadership on Databricks solutions.
• Consult on Big Data architectures and implement POCs for strategic projects.
• Collaborate with Solutions Architects and support users.
• Promote open-source projects like Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow.
