Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect on the Digital Natives team to shape the future of the big data landscape by working with the world’s most sophisticated data engineering and data science teams.

You will report to the Field Engineering Manager, collaborate with customers, product teams, and the broader customer-facing group to design architectures using our platform and APIs, guiding implementations and evangelizing best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering, data science, or pre-sales/consulting roles.
• Experience building distributed data systems.
• Proficient in Python and SQL; cloud experience with AWS/Azure/GCP.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to provide technical leadership for customers.
• Consult on Big Data architectures and implement proofs of concepts across data engineering, data science and SQL workflows.
• Collaborate with fellow Solutions Architects to support users and drive adoption.
• Promote open-source projects (Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow) in the developer community.
