Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Software QA and Support Engineer to join our Software Engineering Team. The role focuses on testing our custom software for utility-scale construction management, data monitoring, analytics, and reporting.

This is fully remote or hybrid with occasional office presence in select locations. The candidate will lead testing efforts, collaborate with developers and product teams, and drive continuous improvement through automation and AI to reduce tickets and improve product

Qualifications

B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience writing automated tests for TypeScript or Python code bases.
5+ years of software QA testing.

Responsibilities

Achieve an expert level understanding of our custom software system features and integrations.
Prioritize and manage testing work independently using Jira, team tools, and release timelines.
Build understanding of intended feature behavior through coordination with developers and product team members.
Coordinate functional, regression, negative, and ad-hoc testing with QA team members.
Write comprehensive test cases to cover functional test scenarios.
Identify opportunities to improve testing through automation, AI, and other innovations.
Provide first-line and second-tier support for our custom software and document reproducible bugs in Jira.
Monitor support channels and maintain accurate ticket records through resolution.
