Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Software QA and Support Engineer to join our Software Engineering Team. You will test our custom software for utility-scale construction management, data monitoring, analytics, and reporting, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

This role is fully remote or hybrid with regular office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, Oregon. Responsibilities include test planning, coordinating with developers, and delivering reliable software with strong user support.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, or related.
• Experience writing automated tests for TypeScript or Python code bases.
• 5+ years of software QA testing.

Responsibilities

• Achieve expert understanding of our custom software system features and integrations.
• Prioritize and manage testing work using Jira and release timelines.
• Build test cases and coordinate functional, regression, and ad-hoc testing.
• Identify opportunities to improve testing through automation and AI.
• Provide front-line support and document known fixes to reduce repeat tickets.
• Monitor support channels and maintain clear ticket records.
