Job summary

AnaVation is seeking a junior software engineer to contribute to secure, mission‑critical applications used by federal law enforcement. You will work under guidance from senior developers to write clean code, support testing, and participate in DevSecOps pipelines.

Collaborate with forensic specialists and crypto SMEs to build features, while learning modern development practices in a fast‑moving, mission‑focused environment. Some onsite visits to DC/Northern Virginia may be required.

Qualifications

• Software-development experience, working under general supervision with knowledge of commonly used concepts and practices.
• Familiarity with software engineering fundamentals, secure coding, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Clear communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain application features under guidance from senior developers.
• Assist with software requirements, design, testing, and maintenance tasks.
• Use modern programming tools, version control, and secure‑coding practices.
• Support debugging, documentation, and sprint activities.
• Work within DevSecOps pipelines and government‑compliant development workflows.
• Troubleshoot issues and support system integration tasks.
