AnaVation is seeking a junior software engineer to contribute to secure, mission‑critical applications used by federal law enforcement. You will collaborate with senior developers, forensic specialists, and crypto SMEs to build features for case tracking, evidence processing, and investigative tools.

The role emphasizes modern development practices, secure coding, testing, debugging, and participation in DevSecOps pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in software development under supervision.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/SE/IT.
• Familiar with CI/CD, secure coding.
• Experience with sensitive data workflows beneficial.
• Clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Attention to detail.
• Eligible for Secret clearance (DHS EOD suitability).
• Security+ or equivalent certification.
• AWS or Azure certifications.
• Agile/Scrum certifications.
• Experience with containers, microservices.
• Thrives in fast-moving, agile environments.
• Active DHS EOD suitability.
• Active DHS Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain application features under guidance from senior developers.
• Assist with software requirements, design, testing, and maintenance tasks.
• Use modern programming tools, version control, and secure‑coding practices.
• Support debugging, documentation, and sprint activities.
• Work within DevSecOps pipelines and government‑compliant development workflows.
• Troubleshoot issues and support system integration tasks.
