Job summary
AnaVation seeks a junior software engineer to contribute to secure, mission-critical applications used by federal law enforcement. You will learn to write reliable software that aligns with federal security standards, collaborating with senior developers and forensic specialists.
Role involves working mostly remotely with occasional visits to DC/Northern Virginia. Candidates should pursue a Secret clearance and DHS EOD suitability to begin, with growth in secure coding, testing, and DevSecOps
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in CS/SE/IT or related field.
- Experience with software development under supervision.
- Familiarity with secure coding concepts and CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to sensitive data or investigative workflows is beneficial.
- Must meet eligibility for Secret clearance; DHS EOD suitability required to begin.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain application features under guidance from senior developers.
- Assist with requirements, design, testing, and maintenance tasks.
- Use modern programming tools, version control, and secure coding practices.
- Support debugging, documentation, and sprint activities.
- Work within DevSecOps pipelines and government-compliant workflows.
- Troubleshoot issues and assist with system integration tasks.
