Job summary

Twilio is hiring a Software Engineer (L2) for a remote-first role in the USA. You will help design and operate highly available, large-scale distributed systems within Twilio Sendgrid, delivering scalable backend services that improve customer journeys.

You’ll redesign components, strengthen security, and build new product insights to monitor health and performance of customer email programs. Collaborative, hands-on, and focused on impact, you’ll work across teams to ship value.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in your craft with demonstrated skill progression.
• Proficiency with Go or similar typed programming languages.
• Ability to implement reliable, maintainable components.
• Automation-minded; experience automating processes and administrative tasks.
• A highly effective collaborator, you work with your team and help drive team towards common goals.
• Self-driven; take complete ownership of your tasks and champion efforts to get your tasks to completion.
• Degree in Computer Science or similar experience work experience

Responsibilities

• Ship reliable features, at scale, that deliver the most value to your customers.
• Partner with engineering and product to understand challenges and craft solutions.
• Perform thorough and thoughtful code reviews to maintain high code quality.
• Identify key system metrics and ensure monitoring coverage for data storage and analytics services.
