Job summary

Twilio’s Platform Engineering team is seeking a Software Engineer (L2) to help build and operate backend services at scale across AWS and Azure. You’ll work with Kubernetes, Terraform automation, and production code to keep distributed systems healthy under real load.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years of professional software engineering experience building or operating backend services.
• Experience with Kubernetes deployments, pods, and services in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Wear the customer's shoes to design and operate services at scale with guidance from seniors.
• Participate in code reviews and follow testing standards including unit and integration tests.
• Support infrastructure as code across AWS and Azure using Terraform.
• Maintain observability with metrics, alerts, and tracing across data pipelines.
• Grow by seeking feedback, engaging in planning, and sharing learnings with teammates.
