Job summary

Twilio is seeking a Software Engineer L2 to evolve and maintain Compute infrastructure in a fully remote setup. You will develop scalable cloud-native environments, manage VM orchestration, ASG workloads, hardened AMIs, and secure container images, emphasizing automation and best practices.

You will collaborate with global teams, implement IaC standards, and contribute to legacy and modern compute systems while delivering reliable, scalable infrastructure for Twilio's platform.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of AWS Cloud infrastructure management.
• Strong ASG (Auto Scaling Groups) knowledge for scalable cloud-native environments.
• Experience with hardened base AMIs and AL23.
• Proficiency in Java or Python.
• Proficient in shell scripting to streamline tasks.
• Ability to work independently with multiple global teams on Twilio's infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Tech Leaders, Architects and Engineers to solve complex distributed infra problems.
• Automate monitoring, performance planning, and disaster response.
• Participate in on-call rotation for business-critical systems.
• Ensure Infrastructure as Code practices are followed for high-quality implementations.
• Document designs, runbooks, and changes with clear communication.
• Apply Agile methodologies to deliver value to customers.
• Act as point of contact for Compute system components.
