Job summary

AnaVation is seeking a junior software engineer to contribute to secure, mission-critical federal systems, including case-tracking, evidence processing, and investigative support platforms. You will learn under senior developers and apply foundational programming skills in a DevSecOps environment.

Work is mostly remote with occasional visits to DC/Northern Virginia locations; candidates must be eligible for a Secret clearance and DHS EOD suitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field.
• Familiarity with software engineering fundamentals, secure coding, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Eligibility for a Secret clearance; DHS EOD suitability required to begin support.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain application features under guidance from senior developers.
• Assist with software requirements, design, testing, and maintenance tasks.
• Use modern programming tools, version control, and secure coding practices.
• Support debugging, documentation, and sprint activities.
• Work within DevSecOps pipelines and government compliant development workflows.
• Troubleshoot issues and support system integration tasks.
