Job summary

Maximus is seeking an Associate Specialist – IT Asset Management with demonstrated Software Asset Management (SAM) experience. Strong preference for hands‑on SAM in ServiceNow, including implementation, administration, and optimization of SAM processes.

This is a remote position with responsibilities spanning budgeting, licensing, and cost management. Minimum requirements include a relevant bachelor's degree and 0-3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of relevant professional experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated Software Asset Management (SAM) experience within ServiceNow.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Able to multitask, prioritize and be a self-starter.
• Ability to assess, organize, and execute tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain information in a database to address budgeting, software compliance, inventory, contracts, and cost.
• Assist in the development of reporting to address management requirements to obtain information.
• Respond to requests from end users, managers, developers, and team members for IT Software Asset Management data information.
• Facilitate renewals, maintenance, and upgrade protection renewals ahead of expiration.
• Identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services; follow through with vendors and partners to obtain savings.
• Assist in the management of contracts and relationships to maximize value creation and costs for software licensing, maintenance, and service offerings.
• Collect information for budgeting, software compliance, software inventory, contract summaries, and cost comparisons.
