Job summary

Kiva is seeking a Social Media Associate to amplify our mission and strengthen our brand across Instagram and Facebook, with growth plans into other channels. You will manage day-to-day content planning, scheduling, and performance monitoring.

Collaborating with the Sr. Manager of Growth and Lifecycle, you will build organic and paid social strategies, coordinate with the Creative and Communications teams, and help scale engagement while maintaining brand voice and accessibility.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience managing social media publishing and community engagement.
• Experience with social media management for established brands (nonprofit or corporate).
• Experience with Sprout Social or similar social management platforms.
• Experience with Canva and with implementing brand guidelines into designs.
• Strong attention to detail and operational consistency.
• Clear, professional written communication skills.
• Ability to triage and elevate issues appropriately.
• Comfortable working independently within a defined scope.

Responsibilities

• Strategy and Content Management– 40%: Define strategy for social profiles and establish scheduling cadence.
• Collaborate with Sr. Manager to build influencer relationships and partnerships.
• Support paid social goals through organic channels and optimize content creation.
• Plan, pitch, and manage design and copywriting for content.
• Develop organic expansion plans for new channels with Sr. Manager.
• Coordinate with Creative team and Communications to source assets and plan schedules.
• Participate in campaigns like Giving Tuesday and donation drives.
• Monitor algorithm changes and adapt content strategies accordingly.
• Keep profiles organized and up-to-date with current information.
