Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience interpreting in educational environment.
• Minimum 1 year experience providing interpreting services virtually.
• National Interpreter Certification or state licensure.
• Ability to work independently with 20+ hours per week during school hours.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and transliterate live, synchronous virtual academic content per IEPs.
• Adapt language to meet individual needs of students with hearing loss.
• Collaborate with teachers, caregivers, and service providers to ensure services align with IEPs.
• Attend IEP meetings and serve as liaison between students, staff and families.
• Provide expressive and voice interpretation of classroom instruction and related activities.
