Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a ServiceNow Solution Architect to lead the design, governance, and delivery of enterprise ServiceNow solutions for our US clients. You will collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams to drive platform innovations and scalable, secure ITSM capabilities.

In this remote role, you will perform hands-on development, guide distributed teams, and drive Agile practices across the backlog, sprint planning, testing, and releases.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a ServiceNow Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or Lead Technical Consultant.
• Deep expertise in ServiceNow ITSM, including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge Management, Service Catalog, and related platform capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, Flow Designer, Workflows, ACLs, Notifications, Update Sets, and integrations.
• Proven experience creating technical solution designs and presenting architecture recommendations to governance boards and senior stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, including demand management, backlog refinement, sprint planning, testing, release management, and deployments.
• Experience leading distributed technical teams and mentoring ServiceNow developers.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekly demand backlog meetings and collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize new initiatives and enhancement requests.
• Design scalable, secure, and sustainable ServiceNow solutions aligned with business and enterprise architecture standards.
• Present solution designs, technical recommendations, and architectural decisions through governance and Architecture Review Board forums.
• Manage change requests, deployment planning, release coordination, and production readiness activities.
• Perform hands-on ServiceNow development and configuration while providing technical leadership to the delivery team.
• Drive Agile delivery activities including backlog refinement, sprint planning, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
