Job summary

Humana, Inc. is seeking a Workday Compensation Configuration Lead to serve as the enterprise SME for Workday Compensation and Total Rewards technology.

You will design, configure, test, and optimize scalable compensation solutions, partnering with Compensation, HR, Finance, Payroll, and Technology to support business objectives and regulatory requirements. The role leads strategy, design, configuration, testing, and ongoing support for compensation processes, including annual planning, merit,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, IS, business administration, finance, computer science, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 7+ years of HR technology, HRIS, enterprise systems, or related experience, with significant configuration leadership.
• 5+ years of hands-on Workday configuration experience with deep expertise in Workday Advanced Compensation and related HCM functionality.
• Experience configuring and supporting compensation processes (annual planning, merit, bonus, eligibility, salary structures, one-time payments).
• Experience gathering requirements, designing solutions, and translating needs into scalable Workday solutions.
• Experience leading testing activities (unit, SIT, UAT, release validation, deployment).

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, design, and configuration of Workday Compensation solutions.
• Partner with Compensation, HR, Finance, Payroll, and Technology stakeholders.
• Support governance and release management activities and provide advanced troubleshooting.
• Mentor team members and provide recommendations to leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation within Workday Compensation.
