Job summary

Direct Travel, Inc. is seeking a Senior Technical Implementation Consultant to lead client onboarding, configure travel platforms, and ensure data integrity during onboarding.

This client-facing role blends technical aptitude with client service and process coordination, ideally within the travel industry. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with Sales, IT, and Operations, managing timelines, and guiding the handoff to operations post-implementation.

Qualifications

• 12–15 years of experience in client onboarding, system implementation, or operations support.
• Familiarity with travel technology and booking platforms such as Spotnana, Concur, Deem, Sabre, Amadeus.
• Demonstrate leadership and accountability in project lead or project support.
• Project management experience with ability to balance and prioritize deadlines of concurrent projects.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and verbal/written communication.
• Strong skills in MS Office tools, Smartsheet, Jira, Asana, and Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical implementations for new customers – including the Avenir platform and integrated tool set.
• Configure client accounts, tools, and platforms (e.g., GDS, online booking tools, profile systems).
• Gather client strategy and how it interfaces with DT technology value proposition.
• Organize design and client deliverables for successful project framework and data mapping.
• Input and maintain client configurations and user profiles against project timelines.
• Collaborate with Sales, Account Management, IT, and Operations to align milestones.
• Lead internal and external project calls related to technology design and activation.
• Facilitate smooth handoff to operations post-implementation.
• Conduct system and user acceptance testing of booking tools and data feeds.
• Troubleshoot implementation issues and coordinate resolutions with internal teams or vendors.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement based on feedback.
• Maintain records of implementation activities and technical design for clients.
