Job summary

Direct Travel is seeking a Senior Technical Implementation Consultant to drive client onboarding, configure systems, and validate data for smooth transitions from sales to operations.

The role combines technical setup with client service and process coordination in the travel industry.

Responsibilities include managing implementations, collaborating with Sales, IT, and Operations, and leading testing and handoffs to operations.

Qualifications

• 12-15 years of experience in client onboarding, system implementation, or operations support.
• Familiarity with travel technology and booking platforms such as Spotnana, Concur, Deem, Sabre, Amadeus.
• Demonstrate leadership and accountability in a project lead or project support role.
• Project Management experience and competencies with ability to balance and prioritize deadlines of concurrent projects.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and verbal/written communication.
• Strong skills in MS Office tools, Smartsheet, project tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Asana), and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce).
• English language proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical implementations for new customers – including the Avenir platform and integrated tool set.
• Set up and configure client accounts, tools, and platforms (GDS, online booking tools, profile systems).
• Gather client strategy and requirements and map to DT technology value proposition.
• Organize design and client deliverables for project framework, including travel policies and data mapping.
• Input and maintain client configurations and user profiles within project timelines.
• Collaborate across Sales, Account Management, IT, and Operations to align milestones.
• Lead internal and external project calls on technology design and activation.
• Facilitate smooth handoff to operations post-implementation.
• Conduct system and user acceptance testing of booking tools and data feeds.
