Job summary

Haydon Healy is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to lead high-voltage transmission line design projects for North American utilities and EPCs. This fully remote role lets you own projects from concept through construction, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of transmission line experience, a PE license preferred, and strong knowledge of PLS-CADD.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Electrical Engineering.
6+ years of transmission line engineering experience.
PE license preferred.
Knowledge of NESC, ASCE, and utility design standards.
Strong experience with PLS-CADD (PLS-POLE and PLS-TOWER a plus).

Responsibilities

Lead the design and execution of high-voltage transmission line projects.
Develop engineering packages including PLS-CADD models, plan and profile drawings, structure spotting, and construction deliverables.
Perform engineering calculations and ensure designs meet industry standards and client specifications.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including substation, civil, geotechnical, and project management.
Review technical deliverables and provide mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and client communications.
Participate in proposal development and technical presentations when needed.
