Job summary

Leidos is seeking Senior and Lead Transmission Line Engineers to support high‑voltage and extra‑high‑voltage transmission design projects. You will work on 100% remote opportunities, collaborate with a national team, and apply NESC, ASCE, ACI and related standards.

Candidates for Lead should have 8+ years in design and 2+ years in leadership, mentorship, or supervision. Responsibilities include reviewing transmission line designs (PLS-CADD, foundations, construction packages), developing scopes

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience in electric utility transmission design.
Lead level requires 8+ years of relevant experience in transmission design with 2+ years in leadership, mentorship, or supervisory roles.

Responsibilities

Review full transmission line designs including PLS-CADD models, foundations, materials, plans and profiles, and construction packages.
Develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals.
Interface with clients and project teams; coordinate with environmental, permitting, and construction management personnel.
Travel up to 10–15% may be required.
