Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to design high-voltage transmission systems from 46kV to 345 kV. The role involves applying NESC, ASCE and ACI standards, preparing plans and specs, and coordinating with clients and project teams.

The position offers 100% remote work with site visits as needed across the client’s service territory. Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree with 4+ years of relevant experience and may require travel.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and 4+ years of electrical transmission design experience.
Experience with full transmission line designs including PLS-CADD models and construction packages.
Knowledge of NESC, ACI, AISC, ASCE requirements; procurement and project schedules.
Ability to develop scopes, budgets and proposals; work in teams and with clients.

Responsibilities

Design HV overhead and underground transmission lines from 46kV to 345 kV.
Prepare bidding documents, plans, specs, and material procurement packages.
Interface with clients, planning, environmental, permitting and construction teams.
Assist with project scopes, budgets and schedules.
