Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join a dynamic team delivering electric transmission projects from 46kV to 345kV, including HV overhead and underground systems.

The role requires applying NESC, ASCE, ACI/ASC standards, preparing bids, plans, and construction documents, and coordinating with clients and cross‑functional teams. Remote work available with occasional site visits across the client’s service territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and at least four years of experience in electric utility transmission design.
• Experience with PLS-CADD models, foundations, materials, plan and profiles, and construction packages.
• Knowledge of NESC, ACI, AISC, and ASCE standards; ability to develop scopes, budgets, and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Design HV overhead and underground transmission lines from 46kV to 345kV.
• Prepare bidding documents, plans, specifications, and procurement documents.
• Interface with clients, project planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management teams.
