Job summary

1Password is seeking a Staff Technical Account Manager to guide post‑sale technical relationships from onboarding through adoption and renewal. You will lead complex implementations, ensuring secure identity and access across SaaS environments while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Ideal candidates will bring extensive customer-facing experience in SaaS/security, strong communication, and the ability to mentor peers in a remote‑first setup.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role.
• Experience leading onboarding and implementation conversations with technical and business stakeholders across complex customer environments.
• Strong communication, storytelling, and demonstration skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business value.
• Experience with identity technologies and protocols, including SSO, SAML, OIDC, and SCIM, as well as security frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
• Experience with SaaS products, cloud infrastructure, scripting or software development, DevOps practices, and tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and CLI.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote-first environment, mentor peers, improve team practices, and collaborate across functions.
• Preferred: Experience with 1Password or other password managers, SaaS lifecycle management, MDM, device posture tools, and advising on evolving AI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Own complex post‑sale technical relationships, guiding customers from onboarding through adoption and renewal.
• Lead technical implementations, including integrations, configuration, and security reviews.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor for strategic accounts and help customers achieve meaningful business outcomes.
• Partner with Customer Success Managers to identify risks, support expansion opportunities, and maximize customer value.
• Represent the customer perspective internally while collaborating with Product, Marketing, Support, and other cross‑functional teams.
• Create and maintain scalable resources, playbooks, knowledge‑base content, processes, and metrics.
• Mentor team members, contribute to enablement, support leadership activities, and serve as an escalation point for complex challenges.
