Job summary

Climb, a Data and AI consultancy, is seeking a Senior Talent Recruiter who owns how Climb hires. You run full-cycle recruiting for Forward Deployed Engineers, Data Engineers, Architects, and the leaders who run them.

This is a closer’s seat, not a coordinator’s. You will hold senior engineers’ attention, understand the technical work, and drive offers over competing opportunities. You will be the first dedicated Talent hire with published leveling ladders and defined comp bands.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting in-house or embedded
• Proven ability to close senior technical candidates with concrete examples
• Sufficient technical fluency to discuss data engineering, cloud platforms, and AI systems
• Sourcing ability for passive, hard-to-reach candidates, not only inbound
• Hands-on ownership of an ATS and data hygiene

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting: sourcing, outreach, screening, interview loop coordination, offer negotiation, and keeping candidates warm through start date
• Recruit against a credential-gated market: senior data and AI engineers, Databricks practitioners, and client-facing consultants
• Build and maintain a real pipeline aligned to demand so hiring is on demand
• Run Ashby as system of record: maintain clean data and accurate stages for leadership reporting
• Partner with hiring managers to define needs, calibrate candidates to level framework, and enforce standards
• Own candidate experience end to end; ensure every candidate has a positive impression of Climb
• Assess candidates against leveling criteria and avoid stretching titles
• Build employer brand in market through referrals, community presence, and authentic outreach
• Report on funnel metrics: time to fill, offer acceptance, source of hire, pipeline coverage
• Manage recruiting tools and external agencies, monitoring cost and performance
