Job summary

Custom Learning Designs (CLD) is hiring its first dedicated Senior Recruiter to establish and own the internal recruiting function. This high-visibility role focuses on revenue-generating teams, building a scalable recruiting engine for full-time and freelance talent.

You will partner with HR, operations, and leaders to align hiring with business needs, develop sourcing pipelines, and optimize ATS and metrics. This remote, ground-floor opportunity offers substantial impact and growth potential.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
• Proven track record of meeting recruiting metrics and KPIs in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
• Independent, self-directed work style with strong organization and process-building skills.
• Experience partnering with external recruiting and staffing vendors.
• Strong working knowledge of ATS platforms and recruiting technology.
• Excellent stakeholder management with hiring managers, HR, and leadership.
• PE-backed environments or portfolio company exposure is a plus.
• Experience in pharmaceutical services or medical writing is a plus.
• Must be based in the Central or Eastern Time Zone.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting for evergreen and recurring needs.
• Partner with HR Manager, VP of Operations, department leaders, and hiring managers.
• Build and maintain a warm bench of freelance/contract talent.
• Develop sourcing strategies and pipelines for recurring and growth hiring.
• Work with ATS, candidate pipeline, and sourcing tools.
• Maintain and report standard recruiting metrics; drive continuous improvement.
• Champion a strong candidate experience and employer brand.
• Balance speed, quality, and flexibility in talent pipelines.
• Establish and improve recruiting processes to scale the organization.
