Job summary

Cotiviti seeks a Sr. Support Engineer to deliver advanced technical and functional support for Smart Trading solutions, incl. Transaction Management and XES.

Role involves triaging production issues, leading critical incident management, and collaborating with multiple teams to ensure rapid, high‑quality resolutions. The role is ~70% individual contribution and ~30% leadership, including mentoring and driving technical excellence during critical incidents.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong knowledge of Transaction Management systems.
• Strong knowledge of XES platform.
• Strong knowledge of trading and brokerage workflows.
• Strong knowledge of market connectivity and transaction processing.
• Strong knowledge of production support methodologies.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Working knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server and Java.
• Experience with XML, JSON, API integrations, and file‑based processing.
• Knowledge of system monitoring, log analysis, and performance troubleshooting.
• Understanding of Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Management processes.
• Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem‑solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical and functional support for interoperable trading solutions.
• Serve as technical lead during SEV1/SEV2 incidents and coordinate resolution across teams.
• Investigate and resolve complex production issues with root-cause analysis.
• Monitor application health, performance, and operational stability in production.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, and Support to resolve defects.
• Support deployment, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades in hosted/on‑prem environments.
• Ensure adherence to incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Deliver a consistent, high‑quality customer experience across cases.
• Maintain documentation for troubleshooting procedures and runbooks.
• Provide mentoring to junior Support Engineers and peers.
• Drive continuous improvement in monitoring, automation, and service quality.
• Participate in on‑call rotations for 24x7 operations.
