Job summary

Hims & Hers is seeking a Sr. Staff Engineer (Fullstack/Backend) to lead architectural innovation and strategic direction. You will shape long-term technical outcomes, enable cross-functional execution at scale, and align engineering with product and business goals.

You will drive architectural clarity, set patterns for resilience, and mentor senior engineers while leading customer-centric, scalable solutions across the platform.

Qualifications

12+ years of professional software engineering experience with leadership at group level.
Expertise with Kotlin, Java or Go and large-scale system design.
Experience scaling shared infrastructure across multiple teams.
Proficient in CI/CD workflows and cloud infrastructure (AWS) with Docker and Kubernetes.
Observability with Datadog and strong focus on developer experience.

Responsibilities

Architectural vision and strategy for customer-facing systems aligned with business goals.
Lead cross-org initiatives addressing scale, boundaries, and foundational capabilities.
Set patterns for quality, resilience, and operational excellence across the org.
Mentor senior engineers and drive organizational enablement and collaboration.
