Maximus seeks a Senior Manager of Software Engineering to guide a high-performing team across multiple projects, driving excellence in design, development and integration of IT applications. The role collaborates with delivery and product managers to meet business needs with scalable solutions.

The position emphasizes building strong engineering teams, improving lifecycle efficiency, and delivering impactful results in Medicaid technology space. This is a fully remote role with travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 7+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience managing large software teams and programs in a healthcare/ Medicaid context is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction to the IT Applications Development team for design, development and integration of software applications.
• Define priorities to align with vision and goals of the Software Engineering practice.
• Ensure best practices across the software lifecycle and staff management including hiring and performance reviews.
• Lead and supervise staff across multiple projects and geographies.
• Collaborate with delivery and product managers to support product delivery and enhancements.
