GE Vernova is seeking a Technical Advisor to manage construction activities at customer sites in the United States. You will direct site crews, oversee daily operations, and ensure technical execution aligns with project goals and company policies, with considerable autonomy.

The role requires hands-on experience with complex hydroelectric facilities, strong leadership, and ability to pause work if safety or quality is at risk, while coordinating with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of hydroelectric generator experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
• Deep understanding of repair/replacement practices for mechanical equipment in hydroelectric facilities.
• Familiarity with managing multi‑unit hydroelectric generating facilities (dams, powerhouses, gate/valve houses).
• Knowledge of safe operation practices for heavy construction equipment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software.

Aufgaben

• Operational Excellence: Plan project activities, allocate resources, and ensure site docs and procedures are current.
• Safety Leadership: Enforce EHS guidelines and conduct risk assessments; can pause work for safety/quality issues.
• Technical Oversight: Perform in-process rewind tests and fault investigations.
• Client & Team Management: Primary point of contact for customer and subcontractors; on-the-job training and performance management.
• Business Support: Assist in pre-bid walks, estimate costs for proposals, track risks to minimize expenses.
