Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Technical Field Advisor to provide on-site technical direction for Steam Turbine Generator Systems. The role involves reviewing engineering docs, troubleshooting plant equipment, and coordinating labor, tools, and materials to meet contractual requirements.

The position offers remote work within the U.S. with up to 80% travel; requires a mechanical engineering degree and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with 3+ years in Power Plant Maintenance or related areas.
• Willingness and ability to travel 80% annually to projects and field assignments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration.
• Lead outage crews including crafts and on-site services teams.
• Provide technical instruction to customer representatives at sites.
• Prepare and submit technical reports, quotes, and time/expense sheets.
• Ensure parts availability and conduct site walk-downs to verify workmanship.
