Job summary

GE Vernova in the United States is seeking a Technical Advisor to manage construction activities at customer sites, directing site crews and ensuring technical execution aligns with project goals and company policies. This role requires strong leadership and hands-on experience in complex site environments.

You will lead safety programs, perform in-process tests, coordinate with clients and subcontractors, and assist in pre-bid activities and cost estimates.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in hydroelectric generation, preferably supervisory.
• Deep knowledge of repair/replacement for mechanical equipment.
• Familiarity with hydro plants (dams, powerhouses, gate/valve houses).
• Safe operation practices for heavy equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Plan project activities, allocate resources, and ensure all site documentation and procedures are current.
• Champion EHS guidelines and conduct risk assessments; can pause work if safety/quality are compromised.
• Perform in-process rewind tests and conduct fault investigations.
• Serve as primary contact for customer and subcontractors; provide on-the-job training and manage team performance.
• Assist in pre-bid walks, cost estimates for proposals, and track project risks.
