Job summary

CrowdStrike, Inc. is seeking a motivated security researcher to analyze in-the-wild exploits and support adversary tracking. The role focuses on defensive analysis, reverse engineering, and building automation to deliver actionable intelligence.

The candidate should have strong writing skills, experience with exploit techniques, and the ability to collaborate across teams within CrowdStrike Intelligence. Remote work with occasional travel is offered.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in exploitation techniques for userspace and kernel vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of common network service exploitation techniques.
• Solid understanding of at least two OS platforms, including Windows.
• Familiarity with web-based exploitation vectors.
• Collaborative mindset and team player.
• Proficiency with reverse engineering tools and processes.
• Knowledge of programming and scripting languages (Python).
• Ability to leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate vulnerability research.

Responsibilities

• Implement tracking systems for cross-team adversary tracking using exploitation behavior.
• Improve/detect exploits and malicious payloads with existing data sources.
• Identify opportunities to increase threat visibility using new data sources.
• Maintain understanding of exploit internals via reverse engineering.
• Develop tools to automate exploit analysis via static/dynamic analysis frameworks.
• Create a classification framework for intrusion activity based on vulnerabilities used.
• Contribute to active mitigation with technical expertise.
• Develop host/network signatures for large-scale hunting and prevention.
