Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a highly skilled security researcher to analyze in-the-wild exploits and track adversary activity. The role focuses on defensive research with TAC, combining reverse engineering with automated analytics to deliver actionable indicators and insights.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in exploitation techniques common to userspace and kernel vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of common network service exploitation techniques.
• Solid understanding of at least two OS platforms, including Windows.
• Familiarity with web-based exploitation vectors.
• Collaborative mindset and team player.
• Proficient with reverse engineering tools and processes.
• Proficient in Python.
• Able to leverage LLMs/AI tools to accelerate research and validate findings.
• Experience using AI to improve decision making and efficiency.
• Able to explain complex concepts clearly in writing and visuals.
• Excellent writing skills are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Implement tracking systems for adversary tracking via observed exploitation behavior.
• Improve detection of exploits, payloads, and attack vectors.
• Increase visibility of threats using new data sources.
• Maintain detailed understanding of exploit internals through reverse engineering.
• Develop tools to automate exploit analysis tasks.
