Job summary

SOLAR Energy is seeking a senior SCADA Design Lead for utility-scale projects. You will design SCADA monitoring and control systems for PV, BESS, and wind, using AutoCAD and Visio. You will define standards, document designs, and mentor engineers while ensuring reliability and compliance.

The role is fully remote with coordination across teams. Expect heavy interaction with clients and field personnel to ensure project success and long-term system integrity.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in electrical, mechanical or energy engineering preferred.
• 6-8 years of engineering experience in renewable energy including PV, BESS, or Wind is desirable.
• Direct experience drafting SCADA, Networking, electrical, and/or substation designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead in-house design of SCADA monitoring and control systems for utility-scale renewable projects.
• Develop comprehensive designs using AutoCAD and Visio for SCADA systems.
• Define and improve SCADA design standards and best practices.
• Review project scope of work documents and translate requirements into scalable designs.
• Produce design documentation and BOMs for SCADA racks and field enclosures.
