Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an experienced SCADA design lead to own in-house drawings for utility-scale PV, BESS and wind projects. You will mentor engineers, reinforce SOLV standards, and support commissioning readiness and long-term system reliability.

This fully remote role collaborates with the OT team and customers to define hardware requirements, review complex configurations, and deliver high-quality documentation and FAT support, driving safety and performance across projects.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree preferred.
• Industrial or utility-scale PV solar, BESS or Wind experience in SCADA engineering.
• Direct experience drafting engineering drawing sets for SCADA, Networking, electrical and/or substation designs.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Advanced knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts and architectures.
• Advanced knowledge of SCADA networks using Fiber Optics, RS-232/RS-485, and Ethernet TCP/IP.
• Advanced knowledge of industrial automation protocols and system integration.
• Ability to work with sub-contractors and field personnel.
• Proficiency with project management, scheduling and task management tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own SCADA design for utility-scale PV, BESS, and wind projects.
• Develop and review SCADA drawings, diagrams, and BOMs.
• Mentor junior engineers and reinforce design standards.
• Coordinate with OT team to define hardware requirements and mitigate risks.
• Drive standardization and process improvements across projects.
• Prepare and present project documentation and FAT support.
• Interface with customers and 3rd party integrators during technical reviews.
