Commence is seeking a Senior Recruiter to own the recruiting lifecycle for the Public Sector Growth Team, focusing on federal health IT talent across CMS, VA, and DHA. This remote role demands proactive sourcing, pipeline-building, and strong knowledge of federal contracting.

You will directly source candidates, grow networks, and screen against contract requirements, enabling staffing for active contracts and future opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with federal contracting exposure.
• Direct experience recruiting for CMS, VA, or DHA talent.
• Ability to build pipelines ahead of demand and networks.
• Familiar with labor categories, security clearances, and solicitations.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting for Commence's Public Sector Growth Team from sourcing through contingent offers.
• Proactively source passive candidates using direct outreach, Boolean and X-ray search, AI-powered methods.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines with federal health IT experience by agency.
• Grow a network of professionals with CMS, VA, DHA experience for future openings.
• Map talent to growth strategy and active pipelines, not just current openings.
• Screen and qualify candidates against contract and proposal requirements.
• Monitor market trends in federal health to inform hiring and compensation.
• Support proposal staffing by identifying named or contingent candidates against requirements.
• Maintain accurate candidate records and pipeline reporting for visibility.
