Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer to design and implement public safety radio networks (ASTRO 25 and related technologies) for State and Local government agencies. This remote role requires 25–50% travel to project sites and centers on delivering mission-critical communications systems with high customer expectations.

You will lead technical aspects, collaborate with sales, PM, and engineering teams, and ensure system acceptance from initial design through cutover and deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or technical discipline.
• 7+ years of engineering or technical experience OR 10 years alternative track.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical aspects of assigned projects until system acceptance.
• Design and implement radio networks including infrastructure and backhaul.
• Coordinate with field teams and customers for design reviews and testing.
• Perform system buildout, configuration, and acceptance testing in lab and field.
• Conduct radio coverage testing and interference mitigation; prepare fleet maps and templates.
