Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a remote Systems Engineer to design and implement public safety radio networks (ASTRO 25) for State and Local agencies, with 25–50% travel to project sites across the United States. This role supports multi-site deployments, from municipalities to statewide systems, in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

The engineer will collaborate with Sales, PM, and System Engineering teams, handling lab and field testing, system cutovers, and ongoing support while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or tech discipline required.
• 7+ years engineering/technical experience or 10 years alternative.
• U.S. work authorization required; sponsorship not available.
• Experience with Motorola ASTRO 25 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the radio network for ASTRO 25 and related technologies.
• Interact with customers and consultants for design reviews and testing events.
• System buildout, configuration and acceptance testing in lab and field environments.
• Live system cutovers and upgrades.
• FCC licensing and frequency search; prepare fleet maps and templates.
